Growth & Optimisation

Technical SEO from our Manchester studio, tied to practical fixes.

For websites across the UK and internationally, we review indexing, site structure, performance and measurement, then prioritise technical and on-page improvements the platform can support.

The context

Find the obstacle, then decide what is worth fixing.

An audit checks whether important pages can be discovered and indexed, how canonical URLs and internal links connect them, and whether content matches the questions people bring to search. Search Console evidence is reviewed when access is available.

The resulting plan separates confirmed technical issues from content opportunities and orders changes by likely value and effort. Implementation and later measurement can be included in the agreed scope; rankings are not guaranteed.

When the fixes require a change to the site, connect the plan with web development.

Planning the work

SEO & Digital Growth: planning the work

Find obstacles before adding pages

A new article cannot fix a site whose important pages are hard to reach, duplicated or excluded from indexing. We first review how pages are discovered, which URLs should be canonical and whether internal links reflect the services people actually seek. That review can produce a short list of technical fixes rather than a large content calendar. Search terms inform page purpose, but they should not be repeated mechanically in every heading.

Connect search intent to a useful page

A person comparing providers needs different information from someone ready to request a quote. We map the question behind a search to the page that can answer it, then review the offer, evidence, navigation and next step. Sometimes the right change is clearer service copy or a better page hierarchy, not another landing page. We avoid creating near-identical pages for locations or keywords when they add no genuine value.

Measure what can be measured honestly

Search visibility and enquiries can change for reasons outside one website. We agree which signals are useful, what data is available and how consent affects measurement. A baseline can include index coverage, page performance and enquiry paths; later reviews compare the same measures and record the changes made. The findings guide the next iteration but cannot guarantee a ranking, traffic level or conversion rate.

Technical checks and measurement tools

Depending on access, the work can use crawl reports, search performance data, browser diagnostics and analytics to inspect indexing, templates, page speed and user journeys. Any new measurement script must follow the site's consent settings. Implementation may involve metadata, redirects, structured content, internal links and frontend or CMS changes. We prioritise changes the current platform can support and document those that need development or content approval.

FAQ

SEO & Digital Growth: what to know before starting.

Is this a full digital marketing service?

No. The focus is technical SEO, website structure, analytics, landing pages and conversion work connected to the digital platform.

Can technical SEO be included in a website build?

Yes. Core technical foundations are part of development, while a broader search and measurement scope can be added where the project needs it.

Are search rankings or conversion gains guaranteed?

No. The work can improve known technical and on-site factors, then use available evidence to guide further changes, but specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Do we need a new website to improve SEO?

Not necessarily. A review of the existing platform and pages shows whether the main obstacles can be fixed in place. A rebuild is considered only when the current system prevents the needed work or creates disproportionate maintenance effort.

What access is useful for an SEO review?

Website and CMS access, search performance data and any existing analytics can help, subject to permission. If those are unavailable, we can still assess public pages and explain which conclusions remain uncertain.
